Emma Smoler has been a practicing trial attorney since 2010. Emma has served as lead counsel in over 20 jury trials in Illinois that resulted in favorable verdicts and full awards for her clients. Before graduating from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago (JD, 2009), Emma was a legal intern for the City of Chicago Department of Law. Emma also worked in the felony trial division The Office of the Cook County Public Defender, representing indigent clients with a Supreme Court Rule 711 license, during her final year of law school. Emma is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago (BA, 2005). She is a Spanish-speaking attorney who is an ardent and compassionate advocate for her clients.
Emma is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, The Chicago Bar Association, and The Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. Emma is licensed in Illinois, The Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, District of Colorado, and the Eastern District of Michigan. When she is not at the office, Emma enjoys playing the violin, and spending time with her husband and two children. Emma is also a distance runner, raising money for gastric cancer research, a cause that is near and dear to her heart.
